I am Véronique, a photographer who specialises in Portrait and Food Photography. I live in the South Downs National Park, just outside Haslemere. I love nothing more than being outdoors and I am at my happiest in my garden, on a footpath or bridleway, usually my camera in hand.
After a 23 year career, teaching various subjects and the full range of age groups (2-18 years old) I retired from teaching in 2017 to pursue my creative ambitions and retrained as a photographer. I had been interested in photography for as long as I can remember and having my two children gave me a focal point as well as "on site" subjects to develop my portrait photography skills. My thirteen years spent teaching at a primary school anchored my passion for children portrait photography deeper, my job there providing me with an infinite number of photography opportunities.
Alongside photographing children and the natural world around me, shortly after quitting my job, I developed an interest in Food styling and photography. It is at that time that I started working with start ups that shared my ethos on seasonal, local and sustainable food. Working with passionate, like minded people was the icing on the cake. As well as photographing their food it felt very important to me to take photographs of the people behind the food; portraits that told their story, showed their passion and helped them take their business to the next level as well as stand out from the crowd. From then on, my business grew into helping other small business owners telling their story through images and capturing their brand, products, studio, team, workshop and more.
